With a number of regulars out this week the game was back to 8 a side as we welcomed back the KOW and Butler.

Brench nursing a knee injury decided to try his hand as Steven Spielberg this week to catch some fat and old magic for the website.

Skins started the game well knocking the ball around and looking comfortable in possession. Steve (bald) got the first after a defence mix up from close range. Soon after had a great chance to double when he missed with a unmarked header from inside a foot.

Bibs were playing deep but managed to get some width with Curry providing a pass for Whitey to rifle home with a fierce strike. Steve (bald) scored again from close range to give skins the lead as they looked to turn their possession into more goals.

Tom Hunt then looked like he went over the ball when tackling Luke and was forced to go off with a nasty looking knee injury. Brench answered the call as we managed to find some kit, boots and after he finished his fag we continued with the game.

Curry scored a fine goal cutting in from the left to square the match, Brench was pinging the ball around like Dan Marino looking to use Curry and Whites pace out wide but he was soon given a chance to score after some fancy footwork only for Luke to make a fine save. At the other end chaotic scenes as Danny made a fine save from Southwell screamed at the KOW to clear but not once but twice he kicked the ball into Brench as Greenwood was on the floor laughing. Some how bibs hung on to half time with the score even.

Brench who was keeping Mitchell company at the back soon burst forward and produced some vintage magic skipping past 3 players and drilled the ball into the bottom right corner. Soon after Butler who was putting in a fine shift capitalised on a mistake and slotted the ball past Southwell to give Bibs a 4-2 lead.

Southwell hit a low shot the found the bottom corner to make in 4-3 and a nervy last 8 minutes. Skins were having all the play now and with Lamprell spreading the ball out to Ridley and Southwell causing chaos it was some desperate defending from Mitchell and Greenwood. A long range shot seemed to catch Mitchell by surprise as he tried an unusual technique like a volleyball move and just managed to push it over the bar, dubious goal panel got to together and honest Pete confirmed it was just over.

With the last kick of the ball Butler just got in front of the KOW and scored from a yard to give bibs a 5-3 win.

A close game tonight and I feel skins will feel hard done by with this result, good games from Virgo, Southwell and Steve (bald) for the Skins and Danny, Curry and Brench for the bibs. Shout out to Tom hope your knee is ok fella.

MOTM Craig Butler

A good performance from the newcomer who got his first win tonight. Full of running and scored two good goals.
