There was the rare threat of rain before the game as 'the theatre of comebacks' produced another top draw affair.
Conditions were in fact very good with a light breeze and the perfect football playing temperature. The rain for the most part held off, apart from a 20 minute burst deep into the second half.
It was a pretty even start and the first keeper change on 11 minutes still saw the game locked at 0-0.
Enter Rich Lamprell with his 3% save rate. He actually managed to reduce this further with two conceded without making a save!
The first goal came when Hunt anticipated an Eason ball into Beebee and he strolled towards goal before driving it though Rich's legs.
The second goal was an excellent move and finish and it was Hunt again who finished on the run into the roof of the net.
2-0 to Skins and the game had changed in a blink of an eye. Fortunately for Bibs Rich vacated the goal and it tells you much about his quality of keeping when you're relieved to see Virgo between the sticks.
Virgo made a good save from a trademark Brenchley pile driver as Skins looked for a third. At the other end Bibs were missing chances galore. Greenwood pulled one out of the air a'la Bergkamp but saw his effort blocked. He then played in (bald) who tripped over his feet with the goal gaping. Curry went through one on one but was denied by Green and Prosser who went in goal after again made some crucial saves.
The Bibs pressure paid off and their opening goal came from an unlikely source when Chaz ghosted in at the back post to nod home. Soon after Greenwood levelled for 2-2 and that's the way it stayed until half-time.
Skins were relived to get into the break on terms as Bibs had dominated the final 20 minutes of the half. The game swung back in Skins favour as they started the second half really well, with what was there best spell of the match.
Hunt scored his 3rd when the Skins defence backed off and he beat (bald) with a decent finish.
Moments later it was Prosser who scored his second in two games after a clever move from a short corner. 4-2 to Skins and once again Bibs had a two goal deficit to overcome.
Curry on a fine goal scoring run, made it 8 for the season when he tapped in at the back post after Eason had played a ball into 'the corridor of uncertainty'.
4-3 and game on. White also made it 8 for the season and what looked like a crucial 5th for Skins, side footing home after Eason elected to punch under pressure from Bahrami. 5-3 going into the last keeper change and it seemed certain that Skins would see it out. Prosser by this stage taking the last two keeper changes due to injury.
Greenwood gave Bibs a lifeline for 5-4 and then Beebee with a miss right out of the Virgo training manual, blazed over from less than a foot with the keeper on the deck. A huge let off for Skins who were struggling to cope with the increased pressure.
It was Greenwood again who found (bald). The big man surged powerfully towards goal before finishing under Prosser in goal to level things up.
Things were getting heated as the teams were both pushing for a winner. White who was a thug all night, had a verbal pop at Chaz. There was six fouls called in the match a new F&O record! A good job flu victim Ridley missed this one, otherwise we may have had 20 minutes of injury time.
5-5 with around 5 minutes to go. Skins came back and Brenchley forced a corner and with only two minutes left White appeared to over hit a cross but Hunt showing great athleticism headed the ball back into play. However the ball was called out to give Bibs a goal kick. Soon after Eason exchanged passes with Greenwood before the MOTM cracked in his hatrick to win the game in the final 90 seconds. It was the only time Bibs had been ahead all game which was a bitter pill for Skins and their army of travelling fans to swallow.
Another thrilling comeback at BACA with eleven good goals.
MOTM - Danny Greenwood - A display reminiscent of a prime Bryan Robson. Showed leadership qualities and some sublime touches
