In a game fit to grace any stage, 100 cap hero Wilson just fell short as bibs fluffed their lines on their skippers big stage. Instead it was a man less than half the age of the experienced stopper and with only 2 caps that was the hero. Young Josh Mitchell produced a commanding display supported by his old man as well as several saves as chances galore went a begging for Bibs.
The game started at break neck speed with Macleod netting the first, but that was cancelled out quickly when debutant John (hat) levelled. It was shots and goals galore as both teams pressed forward.
Skins always held a slight lead as Bibs couldn't quite get their noses ahead. It was tight at half time with the sides level but then Tricker visibly and audibly annoyed by a twisted ankle hit a purple patch when his first time rocket volley beat Wilson who had early made a fine uncharacteristic save. The goal galvanised Tricker and Skins and soon Tricker was playing the clown by tricking Colin into calling his team mate Alan instead of John. This caused much merriment to those around but none more than Paul who soon hit his second to put Skins out of reach.
Bibs scored late through the Hat again when his speculative shot went through a ruck of bodies for 6-5 but Skins were potent on the counter and they put the game out of reach for 7-5.
Whitey on the score sheet denied his old Sunday team mate Wilson a 47th win from 100 games but the veteran still has a healthy 46% win rate and moves to the top of the hundred club.
MOTM - Josh Mitchell - Some excellent defending and text book keeping, just kept him ahead of his dad for MOTM.
